Good hotel for airport but not visiting centre

Just back from staying at this hotel. Very easy to get to and from the airport either by bus or taxi (10 minutes). The hotel was clean and had good facilities, the mini shop at reception was perfect for snacks at night. This hotel isn’t the best if you’re going into the city everyday. We did get Ubers/bolt some nights which is around a 20/25 minute drive and price dependent. Public transport is cheap and efficient however be prepared that this will take around 40-50 minutes and is a bus then a tram. The bus stop is also around a 10minute walk from the hotel.

The reception staff was arrogant and rude. They threatened to take take us out of the room.

Room in a noisy spot

The room I was given was close to the reception and to the entrance. This made this spot pretty noisy with a lot of guests and staff activities. The door was not noiseproof at all and that was quite disturbing. This was the first time I stayed in the Mercure, and it was not a good experience.

Conveniently located for the wider area with parking and bus/tran link into city centre

Good location like before allowing us to park and tour the wider area. Pretty location by the water. The building works were not flagged in advance, which would have been helpful.
