Decided to stay at Mercure Bangkok Siam again, after a period of 5-6 years not staying here, after choosing long and hard between all the other Accor properties. The location remains the biggest attractive factor, convenient next to BTS National Stadium walkable to Siam Discovery which is then links to Siam Square, Siam Paragon, etc. Age is however showing, and some of the details of the room are no longer up to current standards. Examples include- lack of USB charging port, lack of rain shower, DND sign still being a cardboard hung sign, elevators and gym access do not require card verification, gym electricity requires guest card inserted (what if it gets stolen?). The staff remain committed to providing good service- they received several deliveries from online purchases for me and kept them before my check-in. I noticed that some staff have been around for a long time such as Mr Rang from the bar at 9th floor who has been here for >10 years! He continues to provide great service at the bar, and the bar still serves the interesting Tom Yum Kung cocktail :) While it has its flaws, Mercure Bangkok Siam is somewhere I will still come back to in my future Bangkok trips, and might be my favourite hotel within the Accor family of hotels in Bangkok.

It was a great Hotel! Near MBK and BTS to access to different areas. No staff in particular I remember but the Duty Manager that assisted me is nice with their staffs! Will prefer this room once again for its location and good quality rooms! Great valie for money!
