Things to do in Deira City Centre

Deira City Centre is one of the oldest malls in the country and is still the most frequently visited and very popular. Located in the old town of Deira in Dubai, DCC as it is fondly known by local residents, is just ten minutes from Dubai International Airport. Deira City Centre is the original flagship mall of Majid Al Futtaim Properties, one of the biggest names in retail and property in Dubai.

Shopping
The mall is home to over 370 shops, with major anchor stores including Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Paris Gallery, Carrefour, Sharaf DG, Virgin Megastore and Zara. The mall has a well laid out plan, making shopping a convenient experience. Department stores are spread across the mall to give variety to the shopper’s experience, whilst many categories are kept together to provide ease. Popular kids’ brands are grouped together on the ground floor, there is a dedicated jewellery and textile court. Carrefour, a large hypermarket, is located at the centre of the mall and is one of the most frequently visited branch in the country.
Entertainment
The mall has a plethora of entertainment and leisure options for people of all ages. Magic Planet is one of the oldest full family entertainment and arcade centres in the region. It features video games, simulators, theme rides, carousels and much more. The 12 screen Cineplex shows the latest blockbusters, including 3D and 4D experiences.
Dining
When it comes to dining, visitors are spoiled for choice and taste at Deira City Centre. The large food court is located right next to Magic Planet, and offers a wide range of fast-food outlets to choose from. If you are looking to eat at a fancier restaurant, there are plenty of multi-cuisine fine-dining and mid-market restaurants around the mall, where you can choose from Arabic, Indian, Chinese or Italian cuisines among others.
Deira
One of the oldest bustling neighbourhoods of Dubai, Deira is home to generations of traders, families, shopkeepers and business who came to Dubai when it was just a small port. Deira creek, souk and its many restaurants and shops are still a local favourite and is a great tourist attraction to many visitors. The Deira City Centre Metro Station is a quick and convenient link to other stations across the city, and the Deira Bus station is just opposite the shopping centre.
