Oh dear I wish I had read the reviews ! Absolutely not what you expect from mercure and no way that many stars, it’s more like a budget B&B however the rooms are not clean nor is the property the restaurant has 5 choices of ready meals that are no doubt microwaved. I don’t know what to say just avoid

Lovely spacious equipped room, which we’ve not had on previous stays. Clean and housekeeping were very attentive. Only gripe was that it had a joining room to our room and you could hear everything. Ideal for families but not when you’re not.

Absolutely terrible I would never stay there again. Lifts not working. Shower over bath for a person with a disability. Find somewhere else to stay when in Darlington.
