It was great staying there as a base for getting to my meetings. Steve and his team were especially helpful in getting us our salads on the last day. The only negative thing that prevents 10 rating was that the room floor needed a good vacuum or wash!

Short but sweet!

Only stayed one night due to delayed flight and it was very much in and out so didn't get much chance to see the hotel or the surrounding location. Room was fine, service was good, as was breakfast. Hotel is about a 20 to 25 min taxi ride from the airport, depending upon traffic, which costs about €60.

Too expensive for what is being offered

Room rate was way too expensive for a simple room. Bus loads of people for breakfast in the morning that it was hard find a table to eat.

Fix the elevator issue

Spent 2 nights after a 7 day cruise. Great experience except the wait times for the elevator in Tower B. One elevator was out of service. Had to wait over 10 minutes to finally get an elevator empty enough to crowd in with luggage. I think the hotel should have made it possible to use the Tower A elevators with the ability to go between towers using the walkway. Or, open up the service elevator to customers during the "rush hour". The elevator experience is why my review didn't receive a score of 10. Management should have been able to figure out a solution to this problem.

Very good stay

Located 5 minutes walk from Overamstel subway station hotel Mercure is in a somewhat industrial area of Amsterdam. One side of the building is facing the road and the green, the other - a building site by the canal. But no matter, the soundproofing is on point. Lovely room, not very big but just enough space for two travellers. Comfy bed and pillows, lovely high thread bed linen. Big shower with large ceiling showerhead and an extra one on the wall. Hair dryer and an iron were included. Breakfast was very good for a continental! They offered fresh fruit and smoked salmon. Very good latte coffee. Fresh pastries. Water bottle refill in the foyer. A bit pricey but that's Amsterdam for you. Overall very happy, will stay again if we get a chance.
