We booked two rooms, one was absolutely lovely (the twin my crown up children shared) and one standard double. In the standard double, a bedside lamp was broken and wobbly and when switched on, the bulb blew. This shorted out the wall lights and we had to get the manager to find the switch board to get the light to the bathroom back on. The mini fridge was not working either and the toilet didn't flush properly. A disappointing room. The staff however, were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they were helpful, polite and welcoming.

I was put in a room right next to the busy road despite the hotel being empty. As a result, I couldn’t get to sleep for hours because of the road noise. Why not put me in a room overlooking the garden? Dinner and breakfast - as a vegan, you had one main dinner option which is a salad? Instead, I ordered your soup of the day which was marked vegan but was served to me with dairy butter! The gyozas were marked as vegan but had an egg allergy warning next to them?! Breakfast had no vegan butter out and t he pot of marmite was disgusting. Anything cooked was an extra charge. Parking also cost £10.

I just needed an overnight good sleep during a long journey. The room was well priced on booking. Com but now I have joined the Accor club for future bookings. I was on a very tight budget so could not use the bar or dining room. Bed was comfy and everything clean; the chairs were very comfortable for reading. I was just a bit cold and would have liked to be able to switch the radiator on. I will definitely stay again and recommend it to family.
