We stayed here the day we got married. When my husband checked in, the staff were so enthused that we were staying with them, that they upgraded us to a privileged room and gave us early access as it was only 11 am. The staff were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We didn't arrive back at the hotel until the evening, after our reception. The bar was still open, and we had champagne with our friends, who were also staying there. When we got to our room, which was so lovely with a huge bed, the hotel had left us a bottle of bubbly on ice and two cards, wishing us happiness ❤️. The breakfast was a buffet, with hot and continental food, everything you could want. The added bonus was the weather as we had our breakfast sat on the veranda with the sun on our faces. I would highly recommend staying here, the staff made us feel really special.

Great to stay somewhere with the dog, rooms clean, employees very helpful. The only negative was the breakfast, which was a bit (dry) and juices ran out, although we were down to breakfast late each morning.

We were very impressed with the Mecure paignton. We wouldn;t normally choose a new hotel but this experience has changed our minds. The hotel was immaculate and the room spacious with a quality finish. We had a lovely meal, thank you to Aidan for accommodating us without a reservation. The vocalist in the bar was a really lovely touch to the atmosphere. We would definitely stay again.
