?On the weekdays between 6 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., the Minhocão is an ordinary motorway 3.5 kilometres long linking central São Paulo to neighbourhoods west of the city. But in the evenings on the weekend and during school vacations, the motorway is completely transformed. It becomes an urban oasis for music and food festivals, outdoor film screenings and more. Above all, the Minhocão fills up with joggers and cyclists. Having first been closed to traffic in the mid-1990s, the Minhocão is where it is at! So sweat it out.
