Isdhoo Island

Secret History
Isdhoo, is one of the most important archeological extravaganzas of the Maldives, where the ruins of the oldest and largest mosques and stupas in Maldives are found. The island contains a series of well-preserved places dating back to the Buddhist period. The oldest mosque in this island was built during the reign of Sultan Ali VII in 17th century. The copper plates which are the historical writings were kept here.
