In a residential neighbourhood of Sydney, a little-known and intriguing scene awaits. Formerly an industrial site, Sydney Olympic Park was rehabilitated ahead of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Yet wrecks—remnants from the old ship-breaking yard—remain, and are now overgrown with lush vegetation. The WWI ship SS Ayrfield is now home to a mini forest of mangrove trees. A curious sight… best enjoyed from dry land.
