A CHARMING SPOT FOR FOOD LOVERS

Vienna

Landstrasser Hauptstrasse 51

Vienna and its markets: a love story in 26 acts. That’s how many markets there are in the city. Rochusmarkt in Vienna’s 3rd district is particularly attractive because it is so small and charming. With just 40 stalls or ‘standln’, it’s one of the smallest markets in the city, but still has everything you could wish for. Bread, vegetables, herbs and fruit arrive fresh every day. If you have time, you should definitely stop at one of the wonderful market eateries to try the food and drink on offer – the sumptuous antipasti platter at Arrigo, the Italian wine bar, for instance. Extra tip: On Fridays and Saturdays, local farmers sell their produce here, including char from Styria and freshly baked bread. And the home-made jams make a fantastic souvenir for friends and family back home.
