Brussels has no-through roads to spare. Often hidden, they hold many secrets and tell stories about the city’s history. One such is impasse du Borgendael. On this no-through road in the city centre is located the headquarters for the Grand Serment Royal et de Saint Georges, home to arbalists. And who might the arbalists be? Well, crossbowmen, of course. The group continues the Brussels tradition dating back to feudalism. For crossbow admirers, the Grand Serment museum is open to visitors Thursdays from 8pm to 11pm.
