74 Rue Lauriston, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. On the wall are two crossed rackets, and behind this symbol lies hidden the last jeu de paume court in Paris. An ancestor of today's tennis, but played without a racket, jeu de paume was hugely popular in 19th-century Paris. In those days, there were 10 or more courts in the French capital, including one where the Opéra Garnier now stands and another that is now the Musée du Jeu de Paume in the Tuileries Gardens.
