There is an interesting and lesser-known anecdote related to the trident, the weapon proudly born by the god of the sea atop the Fontana del Nettuno.
It is by looking at Neptune’s scepter, nicknamed al Żigànt (the giant), that the Maserati brothers took inspiration to create the logo for the first automobile they were designing. The trident became the trademark of the famous sports and luxury car brand founded in Bologna.
