Galileo’s middle finger, exposed in a display case at the museum dedicated to the Tuscan scientist, is a true nonreligious relic that brings the genius close to the figure of saint of numbers and sky.
As the inscription below the case indicates, it was that very finger, pointing towards the sky, which gave immense contributions to the fields of astronomy and physics.
