A bay tree is the golden tree which the road not far from the Imperial Villa is named after.
The legend tells that in the past a wealthy owner with a gambling habit was slowly and surely losing everything he had. During a game of dice, he gambled the last property he had, a bay tree, and from that moment onward, everything changed. The bay tree remained among his belongings and he managed to regain everything he had lost. Although he stopped gambling, he continued to thank the magic bay tree which was to live for 80 years, and was then substituted due to illness.
The soil on Golden Tree road is very rich indeed.
