Half-house, narrow church, and amphitheater - Via Porlezza 1-5

Via Porlezza is basically an unexplored area of Milan, but this makes its features appear even more intimate and almost surreal: it includes a house cut in half, a narrow church, and a miniscule amphitheater. As if decapitated – perhaps due to bombings – the home has an entrance and a house number, a private parking space and even a garden. At the other side of the street, there is the narrowest church in Milan: what remains of the 1400s building named after St. Vincent, is simply the entrance; East European worshippers habitually follow the mass celebrated outside it. Facing the church, there is a microscopic amphitheater, no wider than 5 meters (just over 16’4”), with its pews used as seats by the passer-byers. Minor details that place Milan in the major league of Italian cities!
