What are flamingos doing in the garden of a villa in downtown Milan?
They came a long time ago from Africa and South America by will of Mr. Invernizzi, the famous cheese company owner, who insisted to host the animals in his garden.
For more than 25 years the flamingos have walked in the lake of the park and, balancing on their slender legs, they show off to the visitors, who are a bit surprised but certainly enchanted by their stunning feathers. A personal guardian takes care of the animals, and prepares them delicious crustacean-based menus every day, to maintain the color of the animals’ pink plumage.
Right in the heart of the dynamic city of Milan, Invernizzi created an oasis, which will always, peacefully stand out.
