Just a couple blocks away from Via Torino there is Via Bagnera, the narrowest road in Milan.
Only apparently brightened up by the graffiti, the atmosphere is uneasy not only due to the street’s width, but also a terrifying piece of crime news.
In the early 1800s, the “monster of Milan” was a resident of the alley, where he also “hosted” his victims. Considered the first-ever Italian serial killer, Antonio Boggia was guilty of four homicides, and hid the bodies in the cellar of his apartment.
This is why Via Bagnera is not only known as “the narrow”, but also “the dark”.
