Naples

Pino di Napoli - via Minucio Felice

It certainly is the most immortalized element of Naples, along with the Vesuvius and the Gulf that hug the city. Always present in the foreground of the panoramic views of Naples, it was located next to the church of Sant'Antonio a Posillipo, until it was chopped down due to illness. Because of its great historic and cultural value, in 1995 Legambiente (the main Italian environmentalist NGO) has decided to plant another tree of the same type in its same position.
