A milestone in terms of richness and vastness of information in the folklore and literature fields. In a land where art and tradition meld, Giuseppe Pitrè, born in 1841, wrote and narrated the essence of a city of Palermo where his poetry was inspired by folk music and love for traditions. The man who inspired the writer Giovanni Verga, among others, was nominated Senator of the Kingdom of Italy and member of the Accademia della Crusca (the institution for research and standardization of Italian language). And thus let it be folklore, read it, and fall in love with it.
