Every day, Palermo is the stage for an enormous performance, made of colors, scents, and voices. Lattarini has become the general market for clothes, ropes, camping equipment, and sewing goods. Its name, though, is related to the past of the Sant’Anna square, which was the grocer’s market where attarin – spices from the Mediterranean area – were sold. Still today, there is a street in Jerusalem called Souk al Attarin: the “spice alley”.
