If Parma were a color, it’d be yellow, or more specifically, Parma yellow.
It isn’t the typical personification game that kids play, and not even a crime novel (in Italian, “giallo”: yellow), but it is a shade of yellow that covers some of the most ancient buildings in Parma.
Legend tells that the fair color of the noblewoman Isabella of Bourbon’s hair, admired during her wedding parade, may have inspired some of the townspeople and successively the French architect Petitot in the choice of color when painting the façades of the buildings in Parma.
