With its façade on two orders held up by columns, pilasters and statues, the Valli Theatre is opposite one of the main piazzas in Reggio Emilia as well as Ariosto, the other city's theatre.
We do not want to give away all the secrets hidden within the neoclassical building, but we do recommend a guided tour for the room entirely devoted to a chandelier and the smaller room containing the mechanism of the clock visible from the hall. We can also see the functioning mechanism used to reproduce the sound of rain, thunder and lightning and why not climb the stage to try and feel the anticipatory emotions of treading the boards.
