A whale found in the ravines of the Castellarano borough of Saint Valentine was named Valentina. The skeleton fossil made of great jawbones, thorax, shoulder blades and vertebrae shows that the whale is likely to have weighed several dozens of tons and been at least 10 metres long. Now Valentina is exhibited in the geology section of the Civic Museums and there have been no sightings of any counterparts in the Reggio Emilia area.
