E scaion - Viale Aurelio Minguzzi 7

Walking along the beach with your eyes looking downward and a bucket in your hand; then kneeling and picking up some shells, that will bring you the smell of the sea until your next holiday. The rite that equates all sea lovers is celebrated at the Museo della Marineria e delle Conchiglie (maritime and seashell museum). Fishing instruments, including what the locals call e scaion (used to collect clams), ancient ships, fishing nets, boat’s wheels, and paddles are some of the objects on view in the museum celebrating fishery as an important tradition of Rimini. Along with the fishing tools, the museum also holds a collection of almost 8,000 seashells.
