A monument in honor of all the women who have gazed at the sea, and still today point at the horizon where the ship bringing back their husbands appears.
This bronze statue created by Umberto Corsucci and commissioned by Rimini’s union of seamen represents a woman who, along with her children holding on to her skirt, gazes the sea hoping her man will soon return.
The Sailor’s Wife statue is located at the end of the Molo di Levante (east dock) of Rimini, patiently awaiting her love.
