And with reason, because the first shopping arcade in History was created in Rome. Built some 2,000 years ago, Trajan’s forum had up to 15 shops of spices and textiles. And it still stands today, with the Ulpian Basilica, two libraries and Sunday markets. No need for a shopping cart.
