Teatro Massimo Comunale - Via del Teatro
Since 2013, two splendid Murano glass chandeliers decorate the Teatro Comunale (city theater) of Syracuse.
That year, restoration work of the eminent palace in Ortigia was terminating, and the structure – designed by Giuseppe Damiani D’Almeyda – hosted an event for Dolce & Gabbana. The two stylists, considered the global ambassadors of Sicily with their creations, presented their new advertisement with a party in the late-1800s theater, and they donated the two chandeliers that may be seen at its entrance today.
Much more than a stage for theatrical performances: the Teatro Comunale is glamorous!
