Villa Caroli Zanchi - Via Dante 42

Around the first half of the 1800s, the Caroli brothers, corn and mulberry farmers, decided to build a mansion from which to run their business, but also receive guests and spend the holidays. The grave and imposing façade, inspired by Palladian villas, hides a bizarre and eclectic heart: with its frescoed walls, the Chinese-style boudoir is like the inside of a pagoda, and an enormous shell-shaped tub fixed to the floor dominates the Turkish-style room. Blue and white dance on the walls of the Room of the Muses, and its remaining walls portray episodes from Manzoni’s novel The Betrothed. Fountains and artificial caves perfectly blend with the park’s greenery. Book your visit and you’re in for a surprise!
