A MINI DUOMO DI MILANO IN TARANTO

Taranto

Chiesetta di San Francesco da Paola al Borgo - via Cavour 51

Many people call it the mini Duomo di Milano as there is a resemblance between the little San Francesco da Paola church and its more famous Milanese counterpart. The difference which immediately springs to mind is about the building's dimensions. It is as big as a room, the church is in the courtyard of a house where a noble had been living who had it built as a private chapel. The small façade with the central wheel on it is encased by two lateral towers reminding of the gothic style, which reveal some influences from religious Muslim art. It will not take you long to find this mini edifice. Just book a visit with the Duomo di Milano of Taranto.
