It may happen to many to get lost because of the narrow roads and the unique house numbering subdivided in sestrieri (the districts of Venice).
Similarly, only few will be able to find their way through the labyrinth of San Giorgio Maggiore on the island facing Piazza San Marco.
In 2012 a labyrinth has been built in the garden of the monastery designed by Andrea Palladio to commemorate Jorge Luis Borges on the 25th anniversary of his death. The special lay-out of boxwood bushes honors the protagonist of “The Garden of Forking Paths”, which is indeed lost in a labyrinth in the magical world of the Argentine writer.
