Caffè Florian - Piazza San Marco 57

Florian is the most antique coffee in the world, and from 1720 it has welcomed many important personages who, same as the tourists sitting at their tables, enjoyed a break in Piazza San Marco. The faces of Tiziano, Palladio, Paolo Sarpi, Francesco Morosini and other artists and warlords were painted by Giulio Carlini in the second half of the nineteenth century and they alternate between mirrors and a triumphant Venice on the ceiling, a repository to the first sign of Caffee Florian.
