In the late 1800s, Salvatore Orlando navigated with a small boat off the coast of Torre del Lago, and observed the pine trees, the rushes, and the villas along the coast. He couldn’t help falling in love with that landscape where the air exudes salt and resin.
He bought a villa on Lake Massaciuccoli, a large building belonging to a cloth merchant, with a 10-acre park crossed by 3 walkways, a forest, and an overlook on the water. It would become the place where Salvatore would loose his ship owner’s clothes and dedicate the rest of his life to his great passion: hunting.
Just as much as the outside, the inside of the residence is enchanting: among lions and sphinxes greeting the visitor, and a romantic and gothic style, you may also catch a glimpse of the ships and hunting symbols referencing the host’s life.
