During the dark days around St. Nicolas, one of the receptionists told an American guest the story of this particular saint on his white horse. The guest, impressed by this beautiful tradition, went to his room, to, a little later, call the receptionist to ask who the man on the horse was outside. The receptionist thought he was joking and said that it was certainly St. Nicolas. The guest however insisted that there was really a man on a horse outside and came down to show the receptionist of the statue on top of a column next to the hotel. That was the beginning of a three-month search for the meaning of the statue by the receptionist . And you know what; It's no one specific! The statue, Falconer on a Horseback, was purely an ornament, along with other statues, of Jo Uiterwaal, that was created to decorate the station. Can you spot the statue?
