People are wondering whether remains of Fort Grodzisko buried in morainal abysses of Gradowa Hill are storing secret archives of a German Nazi soldier, Albert Forster, along with stolen valuables from St Mary’s Basilica. For many years determined explorers have been looking for answers and trying to find a hidden entrance to the shelter. However, the history of this place reaches much earlier. Slopes of the Gradowa Hill used to serve as a battlefield in defence of the city in 17th Century. It is therefore a key place for every history fanatic. During a sunny day the Fort becomes a great viewpoint for Gdansk’s cityscape.
