Bridge of Penitents, also known as Bridge of Witches, is a perfect place not only for mysteries fans but also for those, who simply enjoy beautiful views. Its name comes from an old legend, which claims that the bridge is a gathering place for female souls, who didn’t want to get married and were interested only in debaucheries. To get to the bridge you need to climb winding and narrow stairs (for those faint hearted travelers, there are chairs to sit on during the strenuous climb). Bridge of Penitents links two towers of St Mary Magdalene Church.
