About this city
Braga is a city in the north of Portugal considered as the Portuguese Rome . Its origins go back to the Roman Empire, it is more than 2000 years old and was its administrative headquarters and one of the main urban centers. Being a university city, its nightlife is assured. There, it is highly recommended to visit the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, the Cathedral of St María de Braga, which is the oldest in the country (founded in the 12th century), the Pza de la República and the Casa do Raio.
