Macca-Vilacrosse Passage is an incredible place. This oldest shopping mall in Bucharest represents a U-shaped arcade with a line of white and cream tenement houses and an overarching yellow glass roof. On a sunny day, light falls softly on a narrow alleyway. However, the look of the alley was not only on mind of shopkeepers and architects back then. By using yellow glass in the roof, rays of sunlight enter the building and give its interior a warm and pleasant look. Thanks to this Macca-Vilacrosse design, visitors come to drink delicious coffee, eat in one of the many restaurants, shop at some of the elegant boutiques or rent a room.
