This rather small building, mixing different architectural styles, was commissioned as the residency of Princess Ljubica, the wife of the first Serbian ruler from the Obrenović dynasty. And he actually commissioned it, because he wanted her removed as much as possible. Talking about love... Knowing that she did have an issue with his numerous mistresses and being also well known to eliminate competition, it does make sense. Today the building serves as a museum, but their love-hate relationship is still palpable within the walls.
