A GARDEN GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT

Dorney

Court Lane

Topiaries, trimmed hedgerows and rose trellises are lovely, but they can’t hold a candle – or shovel – to the hardworking kitchen garden. For centuries, Dorney Court Kitchen Garden supplied fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs for the Palmer family’s table. The UK’s first pineapple was grown here in 1661 and presented to King Charles II. Today the garden is a retail destination open to the public. Buy plants, tools and unique gifts at the Garden Centre. The café menu features cream teas, cakes and seasonal fare made with ingredients grown on the premises or sourced locally. Little ones can run wild on the playground while adults relax next to ancient ivy-covered brick walls.
