Bringing to life the times of Napoleon, Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar, Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience is a thematic re-creation of an 18th-century seaport. Here you can visit Britain’s oldest warship still afloat – HMS Trincomalee. Launched in 1817 and one of only two surviving British frigates of her era, she has been completely restored. Visitors can explore every deck on board, discover the history behind this great ship, and listen to tales of wars and battles from bygone eras.
