The Kittywake is the original Wigan Pier wide beam canal barge. Day and night all year round, it sets off from Wigan Pier along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, through the historic and scenic waterways of the Douglas Valley. At 127 miles, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal is the longest canal in Northern England, passing through 91 locks with a summit level of 487 feet. The barge cruises last anywhere from two to five hours and can include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner and drinks.
