Many thanks to Varatha Sikora for perfect booking organisation and Platinum upgrade to Deluxe Ocean View. We stayed here for 13 days and were wondering about some other (bad) reviews; because the hotel was in very good condition and everything worked really very well; especially the breakfast was tasty, the team was always very quick and perfect organized and the beach bar was very friendly, too. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would come back anytime! Stephan & Sophia

This is the worst hotel i ever been on. My whole family get sick by there food. So many bad Things about this hotel. The service is poor, dirty swimmingpool, dirty Walls around the hotel. The card to the rooms dont work 50% of the time! Dont Pick this hotel! U Will regret!!

We stayed 6 nights. We have upgraded our room to direct pool access room and it was an excellent decision. Room was very spacious and comfortable. We experienced great c/in and c/out by Moor and Tularat. Both ladies were very friendly and helpful. We were explained all about the hotel and facility. Also F&B staff was very responsive, friendly with prompt service.

No idea of cleanliness

The place is situated in a lovley location and the actual surroundings are beautiful , the water features, swimming pool and private beach make for a very pleasant experience. However the word clean is sorley lacking which is extremely dissapointing for a 4 star hotel. Our room was ok on first glance but it was filthy under the bed like it hadn't been cleaned for months, the same behind the door and bathroom door, The bedding had two holes on the top where it was easily seen but not once was it changed. One day i had to go back to the room to get something and to my horror the house keeper was using the bath towels to clean the bathroom floor. While it is true that our towels were changed every day and we were not going to use those towels after she had wiped the floor with them the point is the towels will not have been washed at 60 degrees to kill all the germs and bacteria so it left md wondering what the towels are being used for before we get them, I really feel that Mercure should have a much higher standard of cleanliness and definitely a much higher standard of housekeepers who are trained to actually clean not cut corners and leave places dirty and filthy just because they are not easily visible, They should be provided with proper cleaning materials. I didnt expect the Ritz by any means but its not too much to ask to have a clean room especially as it wasnt the cheapest and it was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I definitely wont be going there again

Excelente hotel em termos de arquitetura. Bem concebido em termos arquitetónicos e paisagísticos apesar de implementado em espaço pequeno. Localização razoável para quem se poder movimentar na ilha pelos seus próprios meios. Para quem ficar no hotel a praia não é boa. O serviço de piscina é inexistente. O pessoal na receção é entre o bom e o razoável. O pessoal dos restaurantes é péssimo. Nota se uma grande carência na formação do pessoal. A qualidade dos serviços de restauração não está de forma alguma ao nível da marca Mercure. Nota se a falta de alguém bem entendido em "food and beverage" e na formação de pessoal cujo comportamento nos restaurantes é anti profissional. Os quartos e o seus serviços são bons.
