Inside the Uffizi there is a hidden museum.
In the mezzanine of the building designed by Vasari, there are 10 rooms locked by a safety door, containing 3000 works, exposed without a real order, but catalogued and preserved: they would make up a second Gallery on their own.
This treasure – including canvases, self-portraits, sketches and statues – hides a myriad of secrets yet to be studied and unveiled.
While waiting in line for the secret gallery, there is an entire museum to explore.
