Castello dei Burattini - Giordano Ferrari Museum - Via Melloni 3/A

Marionettes and puppets, as well as scripts, posters, miniature theaters, clothes, photographs, and props. This is the collection found in the Castello dei Burattini (the puppet’s castle), a museum that brings together the dreams of Giordano Ferrari, member of a historic family of puppet theater artists. The monastery of Saint Paul hosts 1500 pieces collected by Ferrari throughout his career, as well as other collections donated to the museum, and a series of television puppets. The museum also organizes shows and workshops in which little wood and cloth figurines are brought to life. C’mon kids, the curtains are open!
