Before entering the Church of Rovereto, built in the second half of the 15th century, a stone statue of St. Mark’s lion will greet you. Rebuilt after World War I and renovated in the ‘50s, the façade of the church introduces visitors to a wide nave surrounded by marble altars and three chapels. Behind the main altar, in the sacristy, there is a unique collection of organs, and one of them is the very instrument played by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who chose San Marco for his first concert in Italy, on December 26th 1769.
