Keep reading! As you may know, Amsterdam brews delicious beers and is famous for the production of their gin. Lucas Bols for example started as a distillery on the Rozengracht and became a global brand. But wine, no wine was not being made in Amsterdam. We left that up to the Germans and Southern Europe, but not for very long anymore! In 2016 Amsterdam got its first vineyard called "No Chateau" for which Mercure hotels Netherlands has acquired their own vineyards and in 2018 the first grapes will be harvested. We hope, assuming 2018 will be a good year, to toast on a beautiful harvest with you as of 2019. The Amsterdam wines will from then onwards conquer the world as the spirits of Lucas Bols did before!
