A CRACKING MUSEUM!

Bristol

M Shed, Princes Wharf, Wapping Road

For greater insight into the history of Bristol, M Shed is the museum to visit. Located in a former dockside transit shed, the museum houses some 3,000 artefacts and stories displayed across three main galleries: Bristol Places, Bristol People and Bristol Life. There’s also an exhibition on the city’s role in the slave trade. Outside you can see 19th century cranes, tall ships and other historic vessels, or take a train ride on weekends in restored steam locomotives and rolling stock. Admission is free. And don’t forget to say hi to loveable duo Wallace and Gromit before you leave. Cheese, anyone?
