The Museum of Science and Industry is devoted to the city’s achievements in science, technology and industry. Its exhibitions include original locomotives and engines from the Liverpool & Manchester Railway, the world’s first passenger railway. It also houses the largest collection of working mill steam engines and gas, oil and diesel engines, along with a retrospective on the early days of flying.
